We have a number of assets that can have a significant impact on the biotech, life science and diagnostics industries.As the biotech industry has evolved, there has been a need for innovation in antibody discovery and engineering research. At Celexion, we recognized the opportunity that new technology would bring to speed and differentiate antibody discovery, characterization, and optimization. Antibody Discovery: In 2011, Celexion will launch a fully human, full-length, naive IgG library for lead antibody generation. This technology will allow our partners to isolate valuable IgG-based molecules for therapeutic applications. The library will be available for in-licensing and customization (including reformatting into other Ig-based scaffolds) in 2011. Complex Antibody Scaffold Creation Along with discovering new technologies, Celexion has in-house protein engineering expertise that allows us to work with commercial partners to build complex, proprietary scaffolds. Celexion builds libraries based on these scaffolds and then deploys the SECANT® yeast platform to isolate high-affinity, well-behaved and characterized clones for lead generation. Antibody Reformatting: Whether you need to build a full-length IgG from a single chain or humanize your murine IgG, the SECANT® yeast platform can be used with libraries as large as 109 to screen rapidly for affinity, expression, and many other protein attributes. Affinity Maturation: The SECANT® yeast platform is yielding strong results from our affinity maturation projects. We are able to obtain sub-nanomolar affinities through a few rounds of affinity maturation even after scaffold reformatting. Antibody Humanization: The SECANT® yeast platform is able to accurately and rapidly meet your antibody humanization needs. The system allows you to construct a library of humanized antibodies and screen for stable, well-folded, tightly-binding humanized antibodies. Screen for Stability, Solubility, Folding-Control: Due to the processing capabilities of the yeast secretion machinery, the SECANT® platform is also able to select for stable proteins. Poorly-folded or unstable clones are not displayed and are thus removed from the population upon sorting. Contact us for more information. |
