Design Capabilities
Several different approaches can be used to
engineer proteins of interest but usually consist of a combination of
design and experimental strategies. A key aspect of the process is the
use of existing data to generate a novel design for a protein or
library of proteins. Scientists at Celexion have used a gamut of
techniques, from full random mutagenesis through detailed
molecular-level computation of interaction energies, to design protein
mutants and variant libraries with successful results (see our
Publications
for examples). We have access to a host of different design
suites and capabilities, which allow us to select the method best
suited to a particular project.
